TESA, Inc. was founded in 1973 in Indianapolis, Indiana by John Truitt, Jr. Having recently been the Marketing Manager for Howard Industries in Laurel, Mississippi, John brought his knowledge of utilities across the country and expertise on utility equipment manufacturing to Indiana to begin selling Howard transformers.
